What Problems Are We Solving?

• Biodiversity loss – Transylvania is one of Europe’s biodiversity strongholds, but monocultures and industrial agriculture are eroding its landscapes.
• Disappearing small farms – In Romania, 5 small farms disappear every hour. The farming population is aging, and young people face serious barriers to entry.
• Land concentration – Land prices are inflated by speculation and large-scale acquisitions, leaving no space for community-based, nature-friendly agriculture

What Will Your 20% Fund?

1. Regenerating Farmland

We secure abandoned or vulnerable farms and hold them in trust. These lands are leased affordably to farmers committed to agroecology.

Our Goal: To establish at least 5 pilot regenerative example farms in 5 years.

In 2025, your support will go toward securing and revitalising our first pilot farm in Fildu village (Țara Călatei/Kalotaszeg).

2. Restoring Nature

Your contribution helps us:

• Implement agroecological methods
• Rewild degraded lands
• Map biodiversity (for example see our Biodiversity Report)
• Aquire and use in cooperation with other small farmers ecological tools and infrastructure

We collaborate with ecologists and farmers to narrow down the gap between farming and biodiversity conservation and enable climate-resilient landscapes.

3. Supporting New Farmers

We provide young farmers with:

• Access to land
• Technical training
• Start-up capital and tools
• A supportive bioregional network

Your redirected tax can help launch the first young farmer in our programme—covering essential start-up costs.

4. Building Stronger Communities

We invest in:

• Educational events and workshops
• Rural festivals and children’s programmes
• Community tools and shared infrastructure

How to redirect your 20%?

Step 1: Sign a sponsorship contract with ALPA

We will send you a ready-to-use template in PDF and Word format.

Step 2: Transfer the amount to ALPA’s account by December 31st

This sum is fully deductible, up to 20% of your corporate tax or 0.75% of your turnover (whichever is lower).

Step 3: Receive project updates and impact reports

We ensure transparency, measurable outcomes, and long-term local engagement.
